Our Club restaurant offer a number of busy dining options 7 days a week with inhouse dining from Wednesday to Sunday. We are looking for a Sous Chef to join a team that pushes standards and develops food that we are proud of. We get everyone to run their own section and really pitch in and help with all duties and cleaning.

Creating a great team culture sets us apart as a nice place to work while cooking great food. We provide training and development plans for chefs at every level, setting you up well for your future career. We want to develop our staff into future managers and kitchen leaders – this could be you!

To succeed in these roles, the ideal candidate will have a solid track record in high quality operations, a thirst for multi-tasking and a hunger for delivering exceptional standards, a team player who is fun, performance driven and constantly looking to evolve. A professional Chef who wants to achieve a total work / play balance – Consider Surfing, watersports, tramping – exploring out the back yard or simply relaxing on time off and respecting that work time is delivering in a fast paced, exciting environment. We are looking for a person who wishes to learn and share knowledge with the team.

We offer regular rostered hours and two days off every week. Work outside of these may be required occasionally to support function activities.

This could be either a seasonal / permanent role, working for a minimum of 30 hours per week and the pay rate will be based on suitable experience.

You bring:

•       Attention to detail is a must, as is demonstrated culinary expertise.

•       Experience in a la carte restaurant service and also buffets

•       The ability to run a service and work as a team, supporting, encouraging and delivering

•       Provide a consistent level of quality

•       Can plan and assist with menu development

•       A genuine interest and understanding in various culinary styles.

•       Food safety & hygiene are a must (167 & 168 unit standards essential – We run CHOMP as a digital system)

•       Display an understanding of stock control, stock rotation, principals of ordering
