The Raglan Club is a vibrant community club with a busy bar, popular restaurant, gaming facilities and a strong membership base. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the Club and lead our team to deliver a welcoming and well-run venue for members and visitors.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing staff, coordinating operations, and ensuring the Club operates efficiently and compliantly.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Committee, via the President. The Operations Manager will work alongside our excellent Head Chef and Office Manager to oversee daily operations across the Club including the bar, restaurant, events and facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day club operations
  • Staff hiring, leadership, training, supervision and rostering
  • Ensuring excellent service for members and guests
  • Working with the Head Chef on restaurant operations
  • Purchasing and stock control
  • Health and Safety
  • Overseeing gaming and bar operations
  • Managing the club’s rental cabins
  • Supporting club promotions, functions and events
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, health & safety and regulatory requirements
  • Working with the office manager on financial administration
  • Monitoring operational performance and identifying improvements

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has hospitality or club management experience
  • Is a strong organiser and people leader
  • Holds a Duty Manager Certificate or is able to obtain one
  • Has strong communication and administration skills
  • Is comfortable working with financial reports and operational data
  • Has a full driver’s licence
  • Is practical, hands-on and able to solve problems quickly
  • Enjoys working in a community-focused organisation
